As I wrote, we were thinking about cropping her fur but decided to try a bath first. The good effect of the bath (her fur was soooooo fluffy again) didn't last long and so we decided last week, that it would be better to crop the fur. It wasn't that bad, but I was so sorry for her, when each time she came to cuddle I found another knot or another patch of fur, that seemed to have turned into felt over night.
So today was the day and the visit to the barber went as well as bathing her. She never hissed, growled or scratched any of us and she was rather curious and happy all the time. There was no hint of fear
Now, we're back home and Jezzy seems to be a quite happy cat. She's really relaxed and purrs and just seems to enjoy herself. I'm really gald, but I miss her gorgeous fur... It will take three to four monts to grow back and now we can use the "furminator" brush right from the beginning so that it won't be that plushy and hard to handle - for her and us.
